Erin J. Wojcik, 83, passed away February 15, 2010.
Born in Austin, Minnesota, Erin grew up in San Diego and resided in Oklahoma for 18 years, the Netherlands for two years and the last 33 years in Akron. She was an accomplished equestrian and loved golf, bridge and her collection of "stuff". She was a member of St. Hilary Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her son, Mark; sister, Thelma; she is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, George; granddaughter, Annaniece of Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Madelyn of Oklahoma and Parker of Texas; sister, Audrey (Ed) Markovich of California; brother-in-law, John (Ceil) Wojcik; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held for Erin and her late son Mark who passed away in December of 2009, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 23rd, at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, with Rev. Fr. Steven Brunovsky officiating. Inurnment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St., Akron 44333 or Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333.
