Chih Hsing Chen, passed away peacefully at home on his 102nd birthday July 19, 2010 surrounded by his family.
Born in Taiwan, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1972 and lived most of his life in N. Canton. Chih retired as a school Principal in Taiwan after 30+ years.
Preceded in death by his wife, Jyu Lin; survived by sons, Chun Chien (Pearl) Chen of Pasadena California, Lih Sheau Chen of Akron Ohio, Chun Fu (May J.) Chen of Akron Ohio; daughter, Ming Ming (Ihong) Kwok of Akron Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brothers, Chih-Kuang Chen and Jin-Jen Chen from Taiwan.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 24th at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron. If desired, memorials may be made to the Tzu Chi Foundation.
