Amy C. Gifford of Stow, died on Sunday, October 18, 2009. She was 49.
Amy is survived by brother, David A. Gifford (nephew Matthew) of Southbury, Conn.; sister, Janet E. Lineberger (nee Gifford) (nephew, Daniel and niece, Michelle) of Ambler, Pa.; and brother-in-law, Robert N. Brey (nephew, William and niece, Lauren) of Grayslake, Ill. Amy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Don R. and Sarah E. Gifford; and her sister, Ann G. Brey.
Amy was born in Akron on January 19, 1960. She grew up in Allendale, N.J. and Wilton, Conn. and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She moved to the Stow area in 1992. She was employed in the restaurant and catering field.
Amy had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed movies, sewing, traveling and spending time with her nephews and nieces. She is greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 24 at 11 a.m. at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. (corner of 23rd St. and Falls Ave.) Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
