Jane M. Stubbs, 90, died July 20, 2010.
Born in Jackson, Michigan, she lived most of her life in Akron. She attended Our Lady of the Elms and graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Akron. A volunteer for Akron General Medical Center and the Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Road, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and the Church of Our Saviour.
Preceded in death by her husband, George J. Stubbs; she is survived by her daughter, Barbara (John) Cochran of Washington, DC; son, Joseph (Sheryl) Stubbs of San Antonio, Texas; grandsons, Alexander Cohen and Benjamin Stubbs; six nephews and two nieces.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. FRIDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Albert A. Jennings officiating. Private inurnment at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service Friday. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to The Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333.
